I think there is a measuring tool on his site. The % all depends on how you like your smokes. I started with 70% then changed to 65%. I then sold my heartfelt and went with Shilala beads as they are less maintainance.

Gotcha. Seems like a pound will be a bit overkill for my rig, but reading on the site says overkill = a-okay.
