People will watch just for sloan. Hell I would. But I will watch either way. But HBO has a tendency of having shows run 6 seasons. If I am not mistaken Sopranos and Sex and the City both ran 6 seasons.

Curb Your Enthusiasm ran six seasons as well, although I hear rumor that a new season is in the works.
