Default I raised him right....

and he's not even my son!

Shawn, a friend of my two sons took the plunge and finally married his high school sweetheart on Saturday. They are both in their early 30's.
Well, a couple of weeks ago I was the "adult supervision" at a bachelor get together for Shawn on Toledo Bend for a weekend of fishing, cigars and drinking. There were seven of us and I provided a nice selection of cigars from my stash. It was my pleasure and while it was too hot to do much fishing we all had a good time.

Anyway, the wedding was this past weekend. So who knocks on my door this morning? Shawn. With a gift for me and I wasn't even in the wedding party!
He gave me half a box of hand rolled Plantation Reserves from The Cigar Factory on Decatur in New Orleans.

Shawn said it was in thanks of teaching him the difference between cigars and GOOD cigars and between cheap booze and good bourbon and scotch.

If we put in the time, kids will listen even if it does not seem to be the case at the time.

That was a nice, gentlemanly gesture on his part. You did teach him a few things it seems.
