Looks like heaven to me. Pick up some Bass poppers(top water) and some wooley buggers. Here are some patterns to give you ideas...this is from the Orvis site.

These will work dual purpose for bass and panfish. There is nothing in the world like hooking a bluegill that doesnt want to be landed.

Check out the Fly Angler Online site. There is a great beginner section there. Tons of great info on patterns and such.

Honestly, you can watch all the videos and read all the books.....but nothing will teach you like being on the water.
