Default Smoke friendly Miami?

I am heading to Miami in June. I will be staying on Ocean Drive. Are you allowed to smoke poolside and at the outdoor hotel bars? Are there any other places I can smoke my own? I don't mind making a purchase to use a lounge, etc.

Also, this is my first trip to Miami. What are the do not misses in the area?

Thanks for any input.

I'd say Calle Ocho would qualify as a do not miss for a cigar smoker.

Pretty much its just no smoking at most places that serve food. Some hotels have a no smoking policy for their buildings. If you aren't sure if you can smoke some place just ask.

Really depends on your likes and dislikes - Ocean Drive is where the pretty people go (I dont make it down there much for some reason!), lots of nice shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs.

As floyd said, Calle Ocho is where you will find the Pepin, Padron, LGC, Bronze and other factories. Lots of good Cuban food and drink.

If your question pertains to non-cigar issues I think Kelly is right with Trip Advisor.

Enjoy yourself and safe travels.

Be sure to bring your mirrored sunglasses so you can stare at the topless beauties on South Beach.

If your looking for a place to party, try Nikki Beach right on Ocean, on the south end. Yes, you can smoke there and pretty much do whatever you want. If your interested in hitting up cigar factories let me know I could give you directions.
