Default Comic Books

Any comic readers here? Graphic novels count too. I read mainly Invincible as far as superheroes are concerned. I also like a lot of old school Conan, as well as the Dark Horse revival. So what are some of your favorite comics and graphic novels?

I was big in to all the Batman titles from 91-00. Made it through Knightfall/Knightsend/ to No Man's Land and Hush.
Loved The Watchmen.
V for Vendetta.
Ambush Bug
Justice League (when Giffen did it) Guy Gardner, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Maxwell Lord lineup.
Spawn (1st 50+ issues)
Superman

I was very big into comics at one point, but after having kids, I can't afford 'em anymore. I still buy the occasional Graphic Novel/TPB whenever possible. I like catching up on the old stuff now through Marvel's Essential line and DC's Showcase line.

Just picked up a copy of the Watchmen yesterday. I have heard mixed reviews of the movie but good reviews of the novel.

As a kid I read a lot of martial arts comics, Master of Kung Fu, Iron Fist, etc.
These days I read mostly indie works. Check out Locke & Key by Joe Hill.

In case you are not familiar with him, he has a famous father - Stephen King.

Movie is better if you read the novel first. Follows panel by panel.

Back in the 80s I had the Watchmen Series, Akira, The Elementals, Astro Boy, Maus, Maus II.. Mostly independent comics. Only a few DC and Marvel series. I don't have any freaking clue where they are now. When I left for the military I thought they were in my parents basement. Not there now... My sisters are pleading not-guilty. Damn.

Cheers,
Michael

Spidey fan here although not as much now that they've gone and screwed with his continuity with the Brand New Day arc crap.

P.S. glad to see someone else enjoyed Ambush Bug!
