In fact, among the best smokes I've had: Trinidad EL 2007.

Tried the Lancero size on a number of my favorite smokes. I like the size but have yet to find one that out performs the churchill or double corona. For example the DPG Blue and Serie V churchills out perform the Lanceros in my opinion.

Oliva V. The CAO Lx2 is a close second. The Lx2 has some construction problems though. I've had a few too many with draw problems.

HL, DPG Blue. The Mi Dominicana I had was great but I've only had 1 so it could have been a fluke.

Wow now that I think of it the only lancero I've had is the Oliva V.....nothing to die for but pretty good overall.

The best Lancero I've had is the El Triunfador (7.5 X 38).

Next would be the Petty Lancero or Corona Especial (5.5 x 38) 1977 DPG Black Label...

Try a Cohiba Lancero

or a Trini Fundador

Cohiba hands down.
After that for this sizing, Boli Especiales, although technically it's not a Lancero, it's a Long Panatella.

For NCs the El Truinfador is far and away the best NC lancero.

Overall the Cohiba Lancero would make the El Truinfador its prison ***** however. Only thing that comes close is a 98 Trini Fundadores or a Boli #2.
