Default Electronic Humidification Input Appreciated

Hey All, I know there are a couple of humidification systems out there but I would like your input. Please post up a link to the unit you prefer. I am looking for one that will do 100cubic feet so cigar oasis is out. Other than that I am open to your suggestions.

Can Avallo's handle 100 Cu Ft? Though, a single water source might be better for the sake of maintenance.

I have a bit of experience with both the trion 707 & the hurricane in commercial applications.

The 707 is a centripetal type of humidifier, which means it puts out a very fine mist that in theory evaporates before it hit's the ground or anything around it. Has a long history of use in commercial walkin humidors that require high volume moisture output to maintain RH. It's worked a couple of times for me, when nothing else would keep up.

On the positive side, it's quite compact & can be mounted up & out of the way. It does require an inline reverse osmosis system to clean up city water for use. If one uses straight tap water the dissolved minerals will be dispersed & after a month or so a fine white powder will end up on everything in the humidor. Those same minerals will also clog of the misting mechanism in a matter of a few months causing the droplet size to increase & soon one ends up with water in front of it. An R/O system is a definite requirement.

The Hurricane, I use in my commercial lockers. Nice compact size, with an angled output that can easily be adapted for directed airflow into the locker air plenum in the rear of the cabinet. I change out the fan from a 110V to a 12VDC high output fan for safety. It should easily handle a 100 cubic foot humidor in a home setting.

Both the Hurricane & the 707 use an analog dial type control system that can be a bit of a challenge at times to regulate RH. In the applications I have used them, we purchased the units "bare" & modified them to interface with a digital Set & Forget control to maintain a 2% operating range. Eliminated a lot of "fiddle factor" for the client.

Hope this is helpful.

cheers,
