Cello on or off?

If I buy an individual cigar from the store do I leave the price tag on or off?

Okay, getting serious...if there's no mold issues (as was the case recently with a box of aged CCs that sported white mold when they arrived) I tend to cut the excess cello off so the foot is exposed.
