Will it play DVDs?
I had a Lite ON drive go bad, it would play DVDs but not burn. Then it went completly bad, would not even play CDs. New Sony drive and everything works great now. edit: Mine did the same, tray in and out with out warning. Sometimes it would read OK, then start reading and then open and close a couple times then kick it out and stay out.
