Default Laguiole Knives

Does anyone know anything about these knives? I'm not looking for the history, I've read a bit about that. I'm looking for info about different models or brands. Do you have one, or know anyone who does?

I'm looking at this one, does it look like a good deal?

Any help would be great.

I've had a bunch. Different manufacturers make different quality Laguiole knives, the quality ranges from superb to ass. I have purchased most of mine in France so I'm not versed on what is online. That is an 11 cm knife, I have 9cm and 11 cm (11 with and without the corkscrew). I can open wine bottles with my 9cm in a pinch though. I think that price is reasonable for a good quality knife.

R. David is a middle of the road manufacturer.

Chambriard is another French knife that I like.

Yup...

I have Laguiole steak knives of lower end quality. Best to see them in person before buying as the quality level varies big time. On the high end, they are quite nice and heirloom quality. On the lower end, they give IKEA a run for the money.

You won't be disappointed in a higher end product.
