Very nice. It will be kind of like smoking a piece of history. I'd like to know how the flavor compares to the tobacco grown today.

When do I get my meds?

I grabbed a couple of the Betsy Ross's from Joe a few weeks ago. Waiting for just the right moment to end their nearly 100 existence. Almost seems a shame to end it, but they sure won't see another 100

Thanks for the great read and the pics! Very cool. Amazing they lasted this long! Let us know how they smoke, that is if you ever light one up!

you bring up an interesting point. I think it was Jason who sent me a Van Dyke. I think it's coming out tonight.

Nice collection of antique sticks there Scott. I also picked up a pair of the Van Dycks from Joe.
I have them in my humi which stays at 65-67 % RH. I've never had anything like this before, so I'm wondering if there is any protocol keeping them a little longer or for smoking them. I'm undecided if I will smoke them one at a time myself (be greedy), ppp each with a friend (cheap but sharing), or share with a friend to smoke one each. ![]() I'd like to save them for a special occasion, but I'm not waiting forever either. Decisions, decisions. |
