Project 7 -by Noel Rojas
So these came up on Cigar Federation - coming in at under 5 bucks a stick.
Nicaraguan puro - a 6 inch toro. Unbanded, dressed down with no frills or fancy boxes. The cigar is beautifully constructed - finely veined wrapper. Apparently a hybrid leaf with both Corojo and Criollo filling. Lit easily, and burned quite well until halfway when it objected to neglect and went out. You need to sip on this one, or it does burn a bit hot in the second half. The cigar is simply delicious. Full coffee flavor with a caramel edge that reminds me of a specific bean when made as a full cream latte. I would recommend as a full bodied, quite complex smoke at a great price. |

Smoked one of these the other night and really enjoyed it. I agree with the coffee flavors and a nice pepper note during the first half. I thought the final third of this cigar was amazing; it had a very nice earthiness backed a sweet cedar flavor - I wish the entire cigar smoked like the final third.
When I first lit the cigar the draw was a little tight but then it opened up and was great after the first inch. Didn't have any issues with it going out or burning un-evenly. |

These totally missed me. Couldn't find anything I liked about it. Tried a couple so far and probably won't be trying any more. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but huh?
