Famous Signature Litto Gomez
So, anybody familiar with these? Anybody know their story? Anyboy try them?
Love LGD, Coronados, and the LFD Air Benders. Most of the LFD lines are not all that impressive to me. So where does the Famous line fall in? Just curious. Thanks. Peace of the Lord be with you all.

Re: Famous Signature Litto Gomez
All I could find via google was this:
The smoke is medium-bodied and brimming with earthy, caramelized tobacco flavors on a semi-sweet finish. If you like La Flor Dominicana cigars, order your pack now. direct from famous. I havent tried them but will look forward to your if you get one or two |

Dear Lord, Thank You.

Re: Famous Signature Litto Gomez
I looked at them, Todd. I didn't get motivated. I have an oscuro americano lgd in my pocket and I can't motivate myself to go out and shiver and smoke it.
I may have developed a theme here...

Re: Famous Signature Litto Gomez
I think they may have just added this line as I don't ever remember seeing them and I am a big Litto ho. I am familiar with the Padron, Pepin and PErdomo renditions but these are new to me. May be to new for anyone to have bought and smoked any yet. These seem to have slid in under the radar also as this is the first time I am even hearing of them. I had the same trouble trying to get feedback on the Tat HCS from Holts a few weeks ago. Just chalked it up to being to new. Plus with all the limited releases from the boutique brands lately who has time to pay attention to house brands.

Re: Famous Signature Litto Gomez
I am bringing this back up, just to see if someone has NOW been able to try them. I have seen what people reviewing it there have said, and it isn't much help.
Amazing how I have come to trust opinions on this board. I think it comes with familiarity.

Re: Famous Signature Litto Gomez
I've been buying these tasty gems, mostly robustos, for years from Famous Smoke Shop and its accompanying CigarAuctioneer site.
Sense that the Signature Series by Litto Gomez is being phased out, as the online pricing can run lower than the auction minimum. You can nab them at a bargain price by using FSS's online coupons: http://www.famous-smoke.com/sale/coupons.cfm I posted this on New Year's Day: http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showpo...postcount=1195 Pros: The Litto cigars have an excellent dark Nicaraguan wrapper. The smokes have strong peaks of spice, especially toward the finish. Liken them to LFD Ligero in a bargain cigar. They are medium to full body -- a start da day smoke or second stick in a herf. If anyone has not tried La Flor Dominicana, this is a good intro. Cons: The draw is tight on a few in every box. Wish they came in another ring size -- all 3 vitolas are 50. The box is boring -- same as Famous's other Signature Series

Re: Famous Signature Litto Gomez
i love the search function.
Todd i smoked one yesterday one the way to work...made me glad i was stuck in traffic and the 45 minute took an hour and a half. i smoked the robusto 5x50, dark oily wrapper, large veins, and a couple of soft spots. my sinuses are kicking my butt right now but on lighting the cigar, the draw was a little tight but not bad enough to complain about, i was hit with spicy pepper, deep earth, and leather. as i said sinuses are all crazy right now so i couldn't tell if there was any "lighter" flavors going on. the spice toned down on the second third but as far as i could tell the flavors were the same. last third the spice kicked back up, the earth and leather returned and a "sweetness" of some sort showed up. not much of a review and with the sinuses going haywire i could really pick up anything other the the "bold" flavors, and if that is all that is present and the next one i smoke is the same as this one then i will still be happy. it was a very satisfying cigar and i will add this to the box purchase list. i hope that helps you out a little Todd |

Re: Famous Signature Litto Gomez
Just got a box of Toros off auctioneer.
I thought just OK, and I love LFD's. Only smoked one so far. I thought it started very medium (medium -). LFD profile was barely detectable. Strength did grow past the 2 inch mark to more closely resemble more powerful LFD sticks. Wrapper was kind of mottled and resembled the LFD double ligero wrapper in appearance, but they say this is a Nicaraguan wrapper. Burn was not good and went out too many times for me. I tend to smoke cigars slowly so I appreciate a cigar that maintains its burn. I dry boxed it for a week, but it might have been a little moist still. Take this with a grain of salt, I've only had one. Another cigar board I frequent raves about them. Also picked up Padilla La Crianzas and la Zonas (bundled stick from Eric Espinosa/famous). Haven't smoked la Zona but so far preferred the la Crianza to the famous LG Sig. My $.02

Re: Famous Signature Litto Gomez
i agree with the strength at the beginning it was medium bodied but grew stronger in the second third. i was driving while smoking it and it didn't go out but the burn was wavy at times but it would straighten up only to get wavy again. i have only had them for two weeks or so so it was expected.
