Reports on the FAN that the Mets just cut ties with Jason Bay.
Reportedly they agreed to a 19 million $ buyout.

It's about damn time. Another Minaya deal that blew up in our faces. Add this contract to the Castillo and Perez deals as complete failures. More millions being paid to a player not wearing the orange and blue.

reports are now, Bay will receive the full $21 million he is owed, but he has agreed to defer some of the money.
No details yet on how much he has deferred, or for how long.
I hope this is another Bonillia type deal, that will have the Mets paying Jason Bay until he's 90 years old.
