If I practice for the rest of my life I may someday be as skilled as this little girl:

Sierra Hull and Ryan Holladay.

I actually picked one up around christmas. Been playing guitar for about ten years now and always wanted to try a bluegrass instrument.

Can't say I play but love the sound. Michael Kang from the String Cheese Incident plays a mean mando.

Someone here has a new mandolin. But I haven't seen pictures so I'm not certain.

Just talked to my BIL who was at mandolin camp all last week. His good one is made by Weber and is the F-style 10th anniversary. It is limited to only 10 being made, but only 4 have been made so far (one must order these things, apparently). http://www.soundtoearth.com/instruments.php?inst=9 shows the pic (although you might have to navigate the menu on the left, click on models under f-style.

He got to play quite a bit with Evan J Marshall this past weekend, who is more of a classical (not bluegrass) mandolin player. Youtube has many cool videos of Mr. Marshall.

Yep, just got it in a few days ago. Crappy pic but it's a pretty awesome looking mandolin and sounds great.
