I have to go out into the mill regularly to collect samples. One night one of the supervisors told me to know who the oldest guy on the shift was and if I saw him running to run the same way because the sh*t was about to hit the fan.

Re: Anybody out there work the graveyard shift?
i'm one of 4 that runs the power house at a hardwood flooring plant. we run a boiler, use process steam for drying kilns and supper heated steam to run a turbine to produce electricity for the plant. we work a "dupont schedule" 12 hr shifts, 4 nights, 3 off, 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights, 3 off, 4 days, then a week off. i love the nights the most but i really love the week off every month.
