Liga Privada T52 New vs. Old? Are There Different Ones?
I have seen these being sold with (New Ones) in the selling description.
I am curious if there is an old and new T52 blend / off color band etc. I had heard something about the old T52's having a weird stained tint to the band and the new ones being all white, but can't confirm this anywhere. That was funny to me cause the couple T52 I have have this weird coffee stained tint to the band and not pure white white like my No.9's I have ... plus I bought a T52 at my local smoke shop a couple weeks back and the band what pure white (not like the ones I have at home). So back to my question is there an older T52 and a "New" T52 and if so how can you tell and whats the difference ... and if there is such a thing as old and new ... Which Ones Are Better? Thanks so much for the info brothers! |

Dear Lord, Thank You.

I've seen bands that looked like recycled paper and white ones. I don't think they crossed lines, but there's no reason they couldn't have.

Re: Liga Privada T52 New vs. Old? Are There Different Ones?
There have been no blend changes to the Liga Privada T52, or any other Liga Privada for that matter.
As for the bands, two things: 1) different printing runs can sometimes have minor visual differences 2) The Liga Privada bands are linen paper, so they can absorb the oils off the cigars and stain. Old vs New: It's a personal preferences as to which one you might like more than the other. Some people prefer them aged, some don't. |

I have noticed with my T-52s, the longer I let them rest the more yellow the bands become especially when left in their box.

Thanks so much for that .... was just curious why my bands looks so brown/yellow tinted and the one I smoked at the shop the other day was pure white. Guess the 5'er I have now are just older ones and have been aging sell and soaking up the oils. Guess the sales are just stating they are new and not aged sticks. Thanks so much for the info brothers ... Tons of help As Always! |

Yellow paper means ready to smoke; like those beer cans that tell when they are cold enough to drink.

The latest batch has a darker wrapper, and may be a little bit tastier.

Ok so the darker wrapper is the newer stick the the pure white ones are the older ones?
I'm so lost. Ohh well ... if nothing has changed in the blend or flavor I'm good to go anyway. |

Capa (wrapper) color can vary from box to box, remember they are sorted and matched by color before boxing. I've personally seen different degrees of "darkness" of the capas all on the same sorting table at the factory.

Ya I knew the wrappers could be different shades, but the bands are different looking with different tints so I assumed the different shades of bands we're something of an indicator from the newer or older sticks.

I have noticed that there doesn't seem to be any 54 rg's in the new ones. They are all 52. Anyone else see a 54 in the new batch?
