I held the FN 5.7 and I did not like the size of the gun, just ridiculously huge.
The USP Compact Tactical was much more to my liking. Someday I'll have to get one and toss a can on it. I too really like the .45 round. That said If you are considering both I would see if you can't find a gun shop with a range so you can shoot both of them and let that decide.

The 5.7 is a great shooting gun, very low recoil and easy to shoot very small groups.

I have shot both and hold under a 3inch pattern at 35 feet. The FN funs are just large in general, the FN-P is not a concealed carry weapon by any means but it will certainly put the glocks to the test as far as durability and dependability.

If zombies come I am covered lol. I have the Sig Tac Ops P226 in 9mm 20+1 stack, two different .40, and two .45 already. Along with my 12ga and 5.56. I am thinking of a 308 AR-10 in the near future but that will have to wait till I get my settlement from being creamed by the Xerox box truck.

I've been looking at conceal carry weapons lately seeing as WI recently passed the law. I kinda fell in love with the Ruger LC9 Lasermax, does anybody have any first hand experience with this weapon?

Does that thing load and fire itself too?! Looks like the barrel stand will scratch the table.

I have an LC9, that I acquired recently. Make sure you clean it when you first get it, it has a ton of grease inside and wont fire if properly if you don't. It's accurate, but has a super long triggerpull, I'm looking into replacing the trigger. In my opinion the lasermax is a waste, get the regular model and buy a sweet carry rig. I had a bodyguard which has a built in laser and just didn't think I would use it in a defensive situation. Just one extra step when its not really needed. YMMV

I have the Kahr PM9 as my CCW gun, have a couple thousand rounds through it, and it has never given me a problem.

Hmmm, both the CW9 and PM9 look like something I may be interested in just by specs alone, now I just gotta go to Gander and take a look.
