Here's another idea; try changing your diet. I don't mean drastically, I mean try five different spicy lunches for a week while smoking no cigars then smoke your first cigar on Saturday morning while you relax and do nothing but smoke. Or, if you normally eat spicy foods, try less spicy lunches for a week (cold cut sandwiches would be great).
Treat your taste buds and your nose to something different for a few days, your palate may wake up.
