Default Casa Torano Maduro

This cigar differs a little from it's lighter cousin the regular Casa Torano.

First, it doesn't have the slight pepper spice present in the former. It's there's for a brief moment when lighting, then it disapates. I like this. I'm not too big on spice and pepper in my cigars. If it's not to over powering I'll accept it. But if I had a choice I'd rather not have it.

Second, the predominant flavor is expresso, with a mild earthy tobacco layer mixed in. Doesn't vary much from this. Very consistent, and very good.

The one draw back was the draw. A little tough. Took a few good drags to get a good volume of smoke. All in all though a good piece. Like it better than the original.

Long ashes my friends!

I remember smoking through two boxes of these real fast.

I agree completely. For right now, my palate isn't sophisticated enough to take spice of the powerhouse cigars. I want something with flavor that doesn't burn me away!

Mmm...I might just have to order a 5-er of these!
