Geoff - The fan in my set-and-forget is ~2.25" in diameter. The one circulating fan is tough to get to in back without removing the cigars and shelf but by best guesstimate is ~1.25".
Both are fairly quiet. And with their limited run time, I wouldn't think about changing them out.  Oh - I have an end table Aristocrat humidor.
