It looks like quite a bit of the cigar is cut, not just the cap...

Yep, I have the other one. Been using it quite a bit and have learned that depending on rg, you must guesstimate how far to push the stick into the cutter.

As for the picture on my previous, it is a combination of flash and slobber, I forgot to take the pic right after the cut. Kinda gross, huh.

Wow, that thing sounds worse the more it gets described... guesstimating? Given the variation in the ring gauge of the cigars I smoke, it sounds like too much of a gamble for me.

Unless you are using a "stop-back" cutter, then you're sort of guesstimating with each and every cut. I'm sure with this cutter you can get a good guess of how much is being sliced by how far the cigar goes in.

I don't see why folks are so quick to judge what they have never even tried. I mean, for crying out loud people, if one of these was in front of you would you not be curious and try it out for chits and giggles? If I could have gotten one when CI had them for free I would have. Why not?
