Odd Post Office Story From This Morning...
I stopped to mail a book and the Postmaster was pretty talky today.
He said a lady had just came in to get her mail and received a package of drugs (heart medicine) for her husband. The odd part is that he's been dead for 11 years, he died of a heart attack. She has never gotten anything like this since he died, and the drugs hadn't been lost in the mail, they were recently postmarked. Initially I figured computer work spit out some old scripts, but then I got thinking... Any thoughts?

My bad, sorry Hugh. They came from the VA.
I should also say that he used to get this script regularly from the VA, but it stopped upon his death, as it should.

They were nitroglycerine. I asked cause I figured they were pain pills and one of the kids may have had a bright idea.
Can you get gooned up on nitro? Forgive my ignorance, I'll be shocked if there's an abusable drug that I've not dumped in me along the way.

I'm going to the doctor to get me some valium tomorrow, Admiral!!!
I'm totally stoked, I've been walking like I have a board up my ass for the last two days since I ran out. Stuck muscles with no muscle relaxers totally sucks.

No you can not get "Gooned" on nitro. Actually if you take it when not needed it can do just the opposite, DEATH. Its not something to mess around with.

My first thought was that they have a junkie kid with access to personal information and were trying to secure something they could high on. I suppose that idea is out.

Likely, but GIGO. The VA is govt run, after all. Will be interesting to see if more come next month. (Even IF the lady calls to inform of death. AGAIN.)

I figured it was the hand of her husband reaching out from the grave to send her a message to go see the heart doctor before she kacks.
At least that's my final position in the matter.

Re: Odd Post Office Story From This Morning...
I think so too. I had something similar but disimalar not too long ago. I got a letter in the mail from the clerk of courts saying something about some child support. Since my son is 21 years old and he lived with me since he was 8 until he was old enough to move out, i was kinda at a loss to know what happened. I am pretty sure I don't have any bastard children from my younger wild seed sowing days so I called them and it was a computer glitch that had somehow went back over ten years and they told me to throw it away.
