I'd second Peter's (pnoon) WISE advice about the Newbie Samplier Trade. That is where I got my start and met people and got a little experience on this board.
Good advise also to start at the mild to med end of the scale...and work your way up as your tastes change to the fuller end of the profile.
There is no hurry take your time, enjoy the moment, and your cigars...really that is what cigars are all about.
