| Living the High Life | Re: Waxing Moon Humidor Thread Finally! She looks awesome Ed... the only thing that will make her look better is seeing it in my HOUSE! Thanks for making it such a fun process... all of the picture updates have made it truly a great time for me to watch as the humidor came to fruition. Thanks for all the hard work... I can't wait to get it seasoned and in use... Thanks again Ed! Randy |

Ed, I hope I'm not asking you to give away some trade secrets, but I have a couple questions: Where do you order your woods? Locally or Online? I'm having trouble finding the Spanish Cedar locally. Where do you order your barrel hinges from? I keep finding references to nice ones in the UK, but I was hoping for something I wouldn't need to import. Fantastic work all around. I keep coming back to this thread for inspiration. I gave up woodworking many years ago for a career in IT...trading one talent for another. I'm hoping making myself some humidors will get me back into the swing of making nice boxes. (shopping for a drum sander and dust collector now in fact!) |

Something good coming up very soon.... Had a belt burn out on my thickness planer and set me back a few days ordering a new one..... Needed to get one last damn piece from 3/8" down to 1/4..... It's all good now! Sawdust flying!!!

I guess this is what I see... either this or some viking warrior with a winged helmet. Definitely something more badass... but it's my humidor so I probably just don't want to see a puppet in it. |

The more I look at these pictures the harder it is to resist buying one of Ed's humis.
