St Louis has for some reason struggled with the Astros, last night was no different. Garcia had several pitches that were in the zone but called balls, maybe something to do with the amount of movement he has on them.

Cards are making a great comeback, Astros have to be kicking themselves for not keeping Berkman. A 3 run blast from the right side after the Astros put a lefty in there to go against him was just awesome!

Cards win in the 11th (5-3) vs Atlanta. The umpire made a horrible call that probably allowed us the win (very late strike call that was a ball), but both clubs played very well!

It was nice to win one late rather than blow a late lead. With all the bullpen troubles, it's amazing we are 4 games over .500.

The offense has been better than expected. I'm not just talking about Berkman. Rasmus seems to be finally living up to expectations ... hope it lasts. The guy that has surprised me the most at the plate is Theriot at .319. Even light hitting Punto gets a game winning triple. Go figure?

Carp pitched a good game after he settled down. Too bad he can't seem to get a win. "Gutsy" move to bring in Miller to get the last out ... the poor guy hadn't retired a batter in five games.

Gotta mention my guy Sanchez ... 17 strikeouts and only 2 walks in 10 innings ... held them scorless and got his first major league win.
