so.... the Dome roof was busticated....


and yesterday, during MNF they said they made some more holes in it to drain more water....



With a shotgun....


and I think I heard them use the word "slug."

In a densely populated area, I wonder at the responsible firearm handling of some moron that forgot that "what goes up... must come down."

I can't even imagine snow fall like that. 3 inches that doesn't really stick is enough to shut down my town.

They did shoot the dome roof, but it was not to drain water. The build up of ice and snow was threatening to break through the fabric and potentially injure workers. So they fired a slug into the ice and snow so they could control where the fabric tore and the ice and snow would fall through.

Here's 2 of the several piles of snow behind the parking lots at my office. That's a stop sign next to the tree for size comparison. They use ig a bsnow blower attached to a large tractor to throw the snow that high. I won't be suprized if that pile lasts until June.
