Alrighty then Chiefs/Raiders game today, got the food ready for tailgating and starting off the morning right with a RyJ Reserve Maduro and a cup or 2 of coffee ... now if only the weather holds for today.

Camp starts next week so getting the itch for some football!

For the Raiders this year:
The end of JaMarcus Russell (I don't know he may have been their best left tackle on the field ......)

4 QBs in Camp: Jason Campbell, Kyle Boller, Bruce Gradkowski & Charlie Frye

Signed Richard Seymour and Janikowski

Picked up: Rock Cartwright, Michael Bennett, Quentin Groves

Looks like most of the moves in the off season where to pickup linemen, line backers and a quarterback.

Cut turnovers this year and the silver and black may be on the path to a winning season.

First preseason game against the Cowboys and it looks like Boller cleaned up against some 3rd and 4th string guys who won't be playing in the regular season. Cambell's numbers looked a little suspect against the first string. The rest of the preseason will be interesting to see whether the team comes together or stays where they currently are.

But for today they are 1-0!

Nice 4th quarter comeback. Fun to watch. I only caught the 4th quarter though. I am recording it today to watch the beginning.
Boller did look pretty good against the 3rd stringers.
The D did a great job too.

I only caught the 4th too. I liked that they held at the end and got some defensive points to close it. Boller did look pretty good.

Just happy when they win anything ... preseason or not. My assistant is from Texas and is a Cowboys fan. That made this even better.

Preseason game #2: Another win and a bit of brighter potential.
Offense may still be a question mark when the season hits. We could really use a veteran possession receiver but hopefully the running game will help the line and the passing game enough.
Defense looks like it will be there.

Great game. This seems to be one of the better Raiders defensive efforts I've seen in a long time.

Btw, I'm a Mizzou grad. Bet we don't see eye to eye on college ball.
