Default La Aroma de Cuba Monarch

Nice looking cigar, lots of veins in the wrapper. Looks like a Connecticut Broadleaf.

First few draws...I would swear this is a Pepin Blue. Not a bad thing, but not what I expected. VERY full flavored, very spicy in the nostrils. Can only nose exhale about half the smoke from a draw.

About 1" in...spice has calmed down considerably. Can nose exhale a full draw now. A woodsy flavor with a tangy finish. Nice so far.

About 2" in...still similar. Medium "strength", nice flavors but not a lot of depth. Decent burn, a little crooked but no corrections needed.

About halfway...still the same. Not a bad cigar but it's not grabbing me.

Final 1/3...meh.

Final thoughts: OK smoke but I'm not excited to try another one. For less money I'd rather smoke a DPG Blue.
