Default La Flor Dominicana DL Lancero

As most of you know, I am a lancero whore. I recently bought some stuff from the amazing people at Famous Smoke Shop, and with it snagged their "Magnificent Sevens" sampler, bascially 10 lanceros from different brands. The first of them for me was tonite, the LFD DL Lancero.

I have been smoking LFD Double Ligeros for a long time, one of the first cigars that I really liked, but have never tried the lancero vitola.

The cigar smelled like any other LFD Lancero, and the prelight draw was rich and flavorful. It sparked easily and drew nicely at first. The burn was RAZOR sharp and the ash held very well for a lancero (normally I have to ash almost every other puff on lanceros due my propensity to ashing on my chest).

The first 1/3 was rich, not overwhelmingly strong, and tasted of heavy cocoa and a bit of nuttiness. The draw was easy and full of smoke. I really enjoyed the contrast to the creamy RASS 07 i smoked immediately prior to it.

The Second 1/3 was equally voluminous on the smoke side, and the flavors actually mellowed out a bit, showcasing their unique qualities (primarily nutty now) and not overwhelming with strength. The burn remained razor sharp.

The Third 1/3 kicked up again with strength and I really began noticing some more earthy, typical Dominican, notes. I nubbed it all the way down, without ever noticing any burn troubles or ash issues.

Would I buy it again? Absolutely, GB anyone???

Score? 8.7/10
