Default Perdomo Fresh Rolled Torpedo Rosado

Well I must say that my cigar edu-ma-kation is progressing nicely. Yesterday I smoked a beautiful looking cigar that had a very one dimensional flavor profile. Today I smoked what had to be the ugliest cigar I have ever seen, and it tasted great !

First thing I noticed on this cigar was a small shiny spot on the wrapper. The closer I looked, I could see a patch ! The shine was from the glue used to stick it on. I found a total of 3 patches on this one, and even so, there were still a couple small holes on the wrapper. I figured what the hell, it's all going to burn anyways, so I lit it up. Right off the bat was a nice earthy flavor, with some floral notes thrown in. After a couple draws, the wrapper started to come away from the cap, but never got any worse. I think I may have to give up on torpedos, as this happens with every one I have smoked. Below is a close up of one of the patches.

And this is where it tore at the cap:

As it progressed to the second 3rd of the cigar, the earthy flavor became more intense, with a mild spice to it. I thought I was getting good at knowing when a cigar would lose it's ash, but out of nowhere the ash fell off on this one. The burn was fairly even, and no touch-ups were needed. Below is a close up of one of the tears in the wrapper.

Coming down the home stretch the flavors moved to a nice smooth pepper. The cigar started to develop soft spots, and by the time I was just about done with it, it felt like it was going to cave in from being so soft all around. Even with all the issues that this cigar had, it was a very tasty and enjoyable smoke. This was the first Rosado I have smoked, and will be looking for more in the future.
