It's a decent living. You'll have to get licensed, don't know if they will pay for that for you or not so that's something to consider. Heck, it's like any other customer service industry, some people want your services and appreciate the job you do, others would prefer you find a corner and die in it. Thanks...Is there a good way of comparing pros/cons from one name brand to another, such as All State, State Farm, Liberty Mutual, etc, etc? The All State agent said he was previously with State Farm, but if and when you leave there, you lose everything. On the other hand with All State, he can hand over the business to the kids or sell it off to someone else. To me, if you retired as an insurance agent, you walk away from a LOT if it's just handed over to another agent.
