Default Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature 05'

I had a rough day today with work. I work at a hospital here in South Fl for the Rehab services department (Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, & Speech Langauge pathology) and at around 4pm as we were all wrapping up our day our regional director comes in and informs us that my inpatient director had been abruptly let go. We had been complaining for some time now regarding her management style and she had been the cause of much of our misery. This wasn't a bad move just a sudden one. So, I'm a little worn out tonight. I've also been severely neglecting my "legal" collection of cigars, so I thought I'd end this trend tonight. I bought a box of hemingway signatures 4 years ago and since then has gone untouched, so I thought I'd enjoy one tonight. I opened the box and was greeted with a healthy amount of plume much to my delight. So I grabbed one, clipped it with a perfect draw. Something about this one reminded me of fall when I lit it. It's hard to explain, but it reminded me of Virginia in mid autumn. Sort of a crispness/wood stove smell and taste.

After about a fifth of the way through it started to settle into hints of pine, allspice, deep earthiness and light tones of coffee coming through.

Around halfway espresso was starting to take over with milk chocolate coming through quite nicely. Very tasty all around. Less pine at this point and more of a woodiness with roasted almonds taking place of the pine.

Towards the end nice tones of coffee and dark chocolate dominate the palate. The other flavors in the background remind of warm milk with a bit of nutmeg (a combo i drink from time to time late at night to help me sleep believe it or not)

All in all I've been neglecting these for far too long and after tonight I think I'm going to be enjoying these more frequently. After the day I had today this was the PERFECT cigar for me tonight. As usual it's appearance was near perfect. It's draw was spot on and I had no issues keeping it lit. I barely had to touch it up or purge for that matter.

I tried not to snob this review up, but I do tend to indulge in my reviews sometimes, especially when a cigar hits the spot. I've always enjoyed the hemingway line so It's not a surprise to me that I enjoyed it. Tonight it was just the right cigar for me. I LOVE when that happens.

Thanks for indulging me tonight.
