Default ITC 10th Anniversary lonsdale

Got this stick at a herf back around Christmas time. I was poking around in the humis looking for something I haven't tried yet, and this cigar popped out at me.

Nice looking wrapper. The cigar is VERY heavy in the hand, making me think it's not gonna draw, but surprise, the draw is perfect. This is a really well rolled cigar.

First few draws are very earthy with a little bit of spice. The aroma coming from the foot is strong and bitey. So far I like it.

About 1" in...the spice has mellowed and the flavor has taken on a floral taste. At this point this cigar reminds me a lot of the Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet, which I believe is made in the same factory. So far a solid medium body, the flavor lingers on the palate for just a few seconds.

A little farther in...the floral is still there, but the finish has become kinda tart. In a blind taste test I would have already guessed this cigar as a SCCC, no question. That's not a bad thing. I like that line of cigars.

About halfway, the floral flavor is getting more intense, but so is the overall "strength" of the cigar, so the floral isn't unbalanced or overwhelming. The finish is taking on a nice tart wine sort of flavor. This cigar also smells really nice. This is one stogie that your wife probably wouldn't complain about.

A little past halfway...man, I would bet money that this blend contains some of the same tobacco as the Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet. I honestly think that AJ Fernandez is gonna blow up over the next few years. Maybe not as big as Pepin, but he is already experimenting more with his blends than Pepin ever has.

Finishing up...I liked this cigar. I would like to try the other sizes in the line, but honestly, after this experience, I would buy the SCCC for a similar flavor profile and lower price.

P.S. The Indian Tabac Super Fuerte natural is still better!
