Default Don Fernando Torpedo

I know this is going to be a fast review, unlike my normal uber wordy ones, but I really wanted to get this one up fast!

I smoked a Don Fernando Belicoso tonite that came from the box Mr. AndyMadera was gracious enough to hold for little old me. I was expecting it to be fresh, due to its recent creation and even more recent introduction to my humidor, boy was I surprised.
The prelight draw was easy and floral, not a hint of amonia. It sparked up easily, and the puffs were soft and voluminous. Early on i tasted a bit of the expected Nicaraguan spice package that we have all come to know and love from Andy's cigars, but the flavors were more pronounced. I puffed it down about a third and started noting really sweet flavors in the "floral" or "vegetal" range.
The rest of the cigar was a really enjoyable slightly spicy taste, it burned evenly and the construction was superb. I nubbed this sucker in about an hour and a quarter while drinking Earl Grey Bravo iced tea (www.adagio.com). I really enjoyed the smoke and I truly apreciate the kind of BOTL that Andy is for creating this smoke and Don Fernando is for lending his name to it! Hopefully those of you that have been and will be lucky enough to grab one of these already limited run cigars will enjoy it as much as I did.

Rating: 90/100.
