Feeling at Home
|
Cabaiguan Guapo RX
Wrapper - Ecuador
Filler - Nicaragua Binder - Nicaragua Smooth and toothy wrapper with one pronounced vein running along the back. Not a whole lot of aroma on the stick before the light. First third - Slightly tight initial draw with an extremely woody flavor. Smooth smoke with lots of spice on the nose exhale. Fairly quickly the smoke turns a bit hollow tasting but then just as quickly the hollowness retreats and gives way to a deep tobacco flavor. The quantity of smoke is on the low side. Second third - Spicy aftertaste really starting to pick up. Deep leather flavor on the draw. Burning very well and the draw has pick up to normal. Once again the flavors turn on me and now the spicy aftertaste is non existent leaving a deep tobacco flavor on the palate. Final third - Very nutty / fruity flavors coming out. Very smooth and surprisingly a mellow, non-spicy aftertaste. Tons of smoke at this point. The aftertaste changes once again to rich coffee and mocha. The final few puffs are heavy in spice. Overall a medium bodied and complex cigar. The flavors would turn on a dime. I wasn't in love with every single flavor but it was a very delicious and fun smoke. Recommended. |
