Default A Ghost-Like Experience

Late one night in the hills of West Virginia, a guy left a party after imbibing a few too many adult beverages. As he was cautiously maneuvering his car down steep winding mountain roads, a thunderstorm broke. As luck would have it, his car broke down. He stopped, got out of his car and began staggering down the road in the pouring rain, searching for help.

As headlights approached him from behind, he turned around and saw a car coming towards him slowly, very slowly. Waving his arms, he ran up to the car, opened the passenger's door, and jumped in. But to his amazement, there was no driver! The car kept on moving forward, down the twisting mountain road.

As he sat there in bewilderment, the car continued to move forward, very slowly and silently. Then the road took a sharp turn. The car kept moving forward, apparently about to go straight off the cliff! All of a sudden, as he sat there frozen in fright, a pale hand slipped in through the open driver's window and turned the steering wheel, guiding the driverless car safely around the sharp curve. When the car finished turning and straightened out again, the hand withdrew, and the car continued to move slowly forward.

Every time there was a turn in the road, the same hand would mysteriously appear and safely guide the wheels of the car.

Unbelievable! When the car finally came to the bottom of the hill, the lights of a roadside tavern appeared. The frightened man jumped out of the car and staggered into the bar. Soaking wet, pale, and trembling, he began to tell everybody about his creepy, supernatural experience.

At that moment, two young men came into the bar, exhausted, dripping wet and covered with grime.

One of the men recognized him immediately and said:

"Hey, there's that jerk that got into the car we were pushing!"
