Feeling at Home
|
Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 Consul
I had this one sitting around for about 6 months. Good looking cigar. Very firm with a dark oily wrapper. The cap popped off a bit which didn't pose a problem.
First third - Great initial draw with lots of chocolate notes. Very smooth with mild peppery spice which lingers on the tongue...some mild sweetness. The spice drops off a bit and the smoke turns incredibly smooth and sweet...packed with deep tobacco flavors. Second third - Started have a burn problem which requires a fixup. Still staying very smooth with cocoa flavors. Abundant amounts of smoke. The peppery spice continues to increase. Last third - Wow. Very powerful. I'm starting to get noticeably dizzy at this point. Strong lingering flavors on the tongue. The smoke is staying very smooth...sweet...and very strong. Overall an impressive smoke. Quite complex with a very smooth profile. Sure to please if you are looking for something to really kick your butt! |
