I live in Radford, but work in Blacksburg (Virginia Tech). We have a small liberal arts school here in Radford. They beat what looked to be a better VMI squad last weekend to win the big south conference. 21-11 overall, 15-3 in conference. Fun to see a small school (9K) get to the tourney.
Radford, a city of 16,200 people, is located approximately 36 miles southwest of Roanoke in the Blue Ridge Mountains in scenic western Virginia. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, New River, and Claytor Lake, which has more than 100 miles of shoreline, offer many outdoor activities in a region noted for its natural beauty. You can't expect them to go far, but they have a good coach and they should be hyped up. ![]() http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...031001287.html Luck, boys, play your game and enjoy yourselves.
