Dyed Cigars

Hey everyone, wanted to pick your brains on dyed cigars and how to tell if one is dyed. Smoked a Casa Magna Dominican today at the dog park and when I finished I realized my hand has a brown stain where I had been holding it, and when the band came off about 1/3 of it was stained brown as well.

This every happened to anyone else? I don't really think this was dyed, but having never had one that was, I wouldn't really know how to tell.
