Vhat are you talking about?
A young, energetic priest got on a plane and was seated next to this older rabbi. As they were waiting for the plane to leave the gate, the priest began to engage the rabbi in discussion about theology. The discussion was lively, but the rabbi is adamant about his beliefs in Judaism. “Vhy vould I forget vhat my father, my grandfather, and great grandfather all preached and believe in? It vill not happen, young man."
As the plane taxies down the runway to take off, the priest suggests to the rabbi he should truly think about the value of converting to Catholicism. The rabbi says to him, “Never! I vould never abandon da faith of my family and vhat I have avowed to profess and administer.” Just as the plane takes off, one of the engines suddenly explodes in flames and the plane cartwheels down to the ground. The priest suddenly finds himself among scattered debris and many, many body parts. But miraculously he has survived. As he looks up, he sees the old rabbi on the ground about a hundred yards away. As the rabbi gets up, the priest is ecstatic as he sees the rabbi make the sign of the cross. Overjoyed, he runs up to the rabbi and says to him, “It is so good to see you converted! Truly God is at work here!” The old rabbi looks at him and says, “Vhat are you talking about?” “You made the sign of the cross when you stood up.” “Vhat cross? I vhas just checking, spectacles, testicles, vhallet and vhatch."
