2014 NCAA Lacrosse Thread
I'll start off with a few useful links to help y'all out.
For free streams updated weekly for games: http://forum.wiziwig.eu/threads/8762...amp-Discussion For fairly reliable in progress game scores(normally quarterly updates on the bigger games): http://www.lax.com/scores.phtml?div=1 For all other needs including some not half bad articles: http://www.insidelacrosse.com/ So far, so good for my boys at Hopkins. 3-0, with a particularly impressive opening win against Ohio State. Showed a lot of poise in that one managing to win it in triple OT. I'm loving the new(really, its the pre-Kyle Harrison days) offense. Wells Stanwick has been playing out his mind and should be one of the front runners for the Tewaaraton, with 1 goal and 5 assists in each of the first two games. Looks to be a big bounce back year for UVA, though they're gonna have to show they can take control of a game and maintain that control. 3 wins by a combined 3 goals, two in OT, and both OT wins should have been over much earlier. Loyola really impressed me with that opening loss to UVA, coming back from a 12-4 deficit in the third to force OT. Drexel is my dark horse pick to make a run come tournament time. They always play tough and played very well against UVA despite the loss, and are looking very good defensively against Albany right now. Duke's finally found a way to win some games in February, which my distaste for the Dookies makes me hope that means they won't be able to make their usual late season run. 'Cuse came out strong against Albany last week, but is looking flat to say the least against UMd in one of those games I have to root for the lesser evil(Go Cuse! Now let me go wash my mouth out with bleach ) |
