Custom Pipe Journey
About to start my journey of commissioning a one of a kind custom pipe.
A few months back I contacted an American pipe artist about doing this for me, he replied that he would love to do this and he would contact me again when my turn came since he makes one pipe at a time and has a waiting list. Here is what I have requested: a throwback to WWII when Soldiers would repair the collar of their pipes with a spent shell casing: hence the name "Army Mount" I also want a rusticated Dublin so it can take the dings of the field and with a flat bottom so I can set it down. Today he emailed to say its my turn. And he has a prototype done already. It will have a spent 20Ga brass for the collar and he is going to make a tamper with a spent Remington 30-06 Ill post a pick of the prototype and keep posting about the journey
