The farmer's pond

There's this farmer in Louisiana who has a large spread with a pond on it. He decides to be a good guy, and builds some picnic areas and large gazebos so the locals can come and go swimming, and plants some citrus trees so people can pick them.

One day, he notices a couple of cars and decides this would be a good day to pick some of the citrus he planted. He picks up his bucket, and walks towards the orchard right next to the pond. He hears some giggling and carrying on, and comes up on about a dozen young ladies skinny dipping.

They see him, and swim to the deep end. One says, "We're not getting out until you leave!!!"

The farmer says, "Aw, dat awright. I ain't here tuh watch youse skinny dip or make you get out." He then holds up the bucket and says, "I just came down here tuh feed dem alligators".
