I've got my stripes for smoking in the cold. Last winter when we had that horrendous storm after Christmas I was on the front porch with a buddy and his son in a blizzard, huddled around one of those little steel fire pits.
We smoked lots of pepin and fuente and polished off almost two full bottles of whiskey (Elijah Craig 18 and I think a Talisker 12.) Our shoulders and backs were encased in snow and ice by the time we were done. But we were THANKful! (and bloody pissed.) |
