Tatuaje Fausto F127
The Tatuaje Fausto is the full line Tatuaje released of the infamous T110 blend created for a shop in Honolulu. The feedback on the T110 was so good Pete Johnson decided to use the blend for the Fausto series of cigars. I smoked and loved both the T110 and the Fausto Avion 11, so I had high hopes for the 5x54 Fausto F127. This cigar just became available on the Dutch market and has a price tag of 7 euro.
The wrapper is dark, dry and tough with a simple band. I smell a wet barnyard and feel a well constructed cigar with a bit of a tight predraw. I taste a lot of pepper. I taste a mild sweetness, lots of pepper and some wood. The pepper makes my tongue tingle. Far far away I taste some chocolate. After half an inch I taste wood with coffee and herbs. I can also taste something mild sweet on the background. The flavors are a bit sticky and I taste some thick chocolate. After a third I taste peppery chocolate with some wood on the background. Halfway I taste wood with a bit of cinnamon and the cigar is mild spicy. The cinnamon is replaced by nutmeg with a peppery aftertaste. After almost two thirds I taste zweet wood with some nutmeg in the aftertaste and on the background nutmeg and pepper. The cigar gets a freshness too, a herbal freshness. The sugar sweetness gets a bit stronger just like the pepper. The pepper starts to overpower the other flavors and burns a bit on my lips. This cigar lasted me for an hour and fifteen minutes. The draw is good, just like the amount and the thickness of the smoke. The light colored ash is compact and firm, the burn is good. This cigar is full flavored and full bodied. Would I buy this cigar again? No, I'll take the Avion 11 instead Appearance: 8 / 10 Construction: 8 / 10 Draw: 7 / 10 Burn: 8 / 10 Smoke & ash: 7 / 10 Aroma first part: 7 / 10 Aroma second part: 7 / 10 Aroma third part: 7 / 10
