Gotta love the French....Mi Amor....
A judge in southern France has ordered a 51-year-old man to pay his ex-wife about $14,000 in damages for providing too little sex during their 21-year marriage.
The man, identified as Jean-Louis B., was fined under a civil code provision stating that married couples must agree to a “shared communal life,” the Telegraph reports. The judge set the penalty at about $14,000 in U.S. dollars, the New York Daily News reports. The judge from southern France’s highest court ordered compensation after the woman divorced her husband because of a poor sexual relationship. The ex-husband claimed his lovemaking was lacking because of “tiredness and health problems,” the Telegraph says.
