Default La Flor Dominicana Airbender Guerrero

A friend gave me this La Flor Dominicana Airbender Guerrero. I guess it is named after a comic hero, as the airbender series is a tribute to a comic, but I don't know anything about comics whatsoever, so I can't confirm it. From the whole Airbender series only the Matatan is released in The Netherlands so I was happy that I could try another vitola from the line. The Guerrero is a 6¼x54 fat cigar.

I love the band, it looks great on the oily, milk chocolate colored wrapper. The construction feels good and I smell a wood smell. The wrapper has one long thin vein and it looks great. The predraw is a bit easy and tastes like tobacco.

I taste wood and an earthy flavor with some herbs. The flavors are mild spicy and I taste some pepper on the background. The earthy flavor slowly disappears after half an inch and after an inch I taste wood, which is mild musty and quite nice. I also taste a mild musty chocolate and a mild bitterness. Now that doesn't sound good, but it is actually quite nice.

Halfway I taste wood, not spicy anymore even though there is still a hint of black pepper in the flavor profile. After that I don't taste any changes in the flavors anymore.

The smoke time of this cigar is two hours. The draw was a bit easy but I got a lot of thick white smoke. I had to correct the burn a few times in the beginning. The silver gray ash is firm. The cigar is full flavored and medium bodied.

Would I buy this cigar again? I like the robusto aka Matatan better
