Chihuahua Stops Traffic on I-880

OAKLAND (KRON) – East Bay commuters were caught in an unusual traffic jam on northbound Interstate 880 Friday afternoon.

A tan Chihuahua was spotted running in the fast lane of the freeway at the Broadway exit, near downtown Oakland.

People stopped their cars and got out to try and catch the dog.

Firefighters and paramedics responding to an accident on the other side of Interstate 880 climbed over the freeway divider to assist.

The tiny pup remains at large.
